Oppo has launched the Enco X4 wireless earbuds, a new flagship pair aimed squarely at Apple’s AirPods Pro, promising lossless audio, twice the noise cancellation of their predecessors and up to 53 hours of total battery life with the charging case. Priced at around $211, the earbuds go on sale on October 29, 2026, and they introduce Oppo’s first implementation of the LHDC Lossless audio codec.
The sound system is built around a dual-driver design, pairing an 11mm TRF woofer with a 6mm planar tweeter, each with its own dedicated digital-to-analog converter. Oppo has worked with Dynaudio to tune five sound profiles, including Pure Vocals and Thundering Bass, and the earbuds carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification with a frequency response range of 10Hz to 40kHz. The LHDC Lossless support delivers up to 24-bit, 48kHz audio at 2.3Mbps, although full wireless lossless playback requires a compatible Oppo Find X smartphone, particularly the Find X10 series, and the feature is reportedly switched off by default. Other devices can still use AAC, SBC, LHDC or LC3 codecs, and spatial audio with head tracking works across Android, iOS and Windows without the same hardware restriction.
Noise cancellation is where Oppo claims the biggest leap, with a 100 percent improvement in overall active noise cancellation performance over the Enco X3. A 6-nanometre neural processing unit manages adaptive cancellation in real time and improves the reduction of speech-related background noise, while a Conversation Awareness feature automatically lowers the music and switches on transparency mode when the wearer starts speaking. Battery life is equally generous on paper, with up to 13 hours from the earbuds alone and 53 hours with the case when noise cancellation is off, falling to around six hours and 26 hours respectively with it on, based on AAC playback at 50 percent volume. Each earbud weighs about 5.6 grams, and the pair supports Bluetooth 6.1 with dual-device pairing, so two devices can stay connected at once.
There are a few caveats worth noting before buying. AI Clear Calling is included to sharpen voice clarity on calls, and AI Live Translation is supported, but the full translation experience is limited to select Oppo and OnePlus phones running ColorOS 17 or later, just as lossless audio needs a compatible Oppo handset. The earbuds come in two colours, Glacier White and Aurora Violet. For buyers already inside Oppo’s ecosystem, the Enco X4 looks like a strong all-rounder, but shoppers on other phones should check which headline features will actually work for them.
