The Pakistan Airports Authority has announced new regular vacancies for IT professionals, offering a pay scale that rises to Rs. 168,880 a month. Under Situation Vacant Notice No. 05/2026, the authority is hiring for five Assistant Director-level positions covering network engineering, IT operations, technology transformation, cybersecurity and software development, with one vacancy in each field under the merit quota.
All five posts sit on the EG-01 pay scale of Rs. 56,280 to Rs. 168,880, with annual increments of Rs. 5,630, and appointments will be made on a regular basis under the Defined Contribution Scheme, subject to approval by the competent authority. The five roles are Assistant Director for IT Network Engineering, Assistant Director for IT Operations, Assistant Director for IT in Technology Transformation, Assistant Director for IT in Cyber Security, and Assistant Director for IT in Software Development, with the last of these focused on full-stack work.
For most of the posts, candidates must hold a BS or BE degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Communication, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering or another relevant field, with at least a second division and a minimum of 16 years of education. The Technology Transformation role also accepts a BBA in Business Analytics or Information Technology. Most positions also require at least three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field, from managing corporate IT networks and working with Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols for the Network Engineer, to security operations, risk and vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for the Cyber Security role, and operating systems, cloud computing, helpdesk services and IT procurement for the Operations post.
Applications must be submitted online through the Pakistan Airports Authority’s official website at paa.gov.pk, within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication. Applicants need to upload a CV with a photograph, copies of their educational certificates and degrees, and their CNIC, and the authority has warned that applications missing the required documents will be rejected. For IT professionals looking for a public-sector role at the country’s airports, the window is short, so preparing the documents early is the sensible move.
