iTANZ Technologies Limited has approved a ten-for-one split of its shares, a move that will cut the face value of each ordinary share from ten rupees to one rupee. The decision was taken through a special resolution at the company’s annual general meeting on October 24, 2026, and it leaves the firm’s overall authorised and paid-up capital unchanged, simply dividing each existing share into ten smaller ones.
The practical effect for shareholders is straightforward: the number of shares in issue will rise tenfold while the value of each individual share falls in proportion, so the total value of a holding does not change because of the split alone. Companies often take this step to make their shares more accessible to smaller investors and to improve trading liquidity, and the lower face value can make the stock easier to buy and sell in smaller lots.
Before the split takes effect, the company must complete the formal steps required by the regulators involved, including the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Pakistan Stock Exchange and the Central Depository Company. Only after those requirements are met, and the board has approved the timetable, will the effective date and the book-closure dates be announced, so shareholders should watch for that separate notice rather than treating the meeting vote as the start date.
The same meeting also dealt with the distribution for the financial year that ended on June 30, 2026, which combined an interim cash dividend of one rupee per share, equal to ten percent, with bonus shares of ten percent, giving a total distribution of twenty percent for the year. Shareholders also approved changes to the company’s articles of association, including the fees paid to directors for attending board and committee meetings and updates to bring its governing documents in line with the Companies Act, 2017. Taken together, the meeting’s decisions point to a company tidying up its capital structure while keeping its payout to investors intact.
