Applications for MBBS admissions to private medical colleges in Punjab opened today, October 23, for the 2026-27 academic session, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore announced, setting November 6 as the deadline for submission.
UHS will manage the admissions through a centralized system under the Punjab government’s admission policy. The university will publish the first selection list on November 18, giving candidates a clear timeline for the weeks ahead.
Applications for BDS admissions to private dental colleges will open later — on December 18 — and remain available until January 1, 2027. The first selection list for dental admissions will be announced on January 13.

Punjab has 34 private medical colleges offering approximately 4,500 MBBS seats, alongside 18 private dental colleges with around 1,100 BDS seats. Eligible candidates from all provinces and overseas Pakistanis can apply, provided they meet the prescribed criteria.
Merit will be calculated using matriculation marks carrying 10 percent weight, FSc pre-medical marks carrying 40 percent, and MDCAT results carrying the remaining 50 percent. Applicants must score at least 55 percent in the MDCAT for MBBS admission and 50 percent for BDS, along with a minimum of 60 percent marks in FSc pre-medical or an equivalent qualification.
Selected candidates will have only three days to deposit their fees and join their respective colleges. UHS has launched separate online portals — privatembbs.uhs.edu.pk for MBBS applicants and privatebds.uhs.edu.pk for BDS applicants — and advised candidates to review each college’s fee structure, location and available facilities before applying.
All merit and selection lists will be published on the UHS website. With thousands of MBBS seats available across Punjab’s private medical colleges, aspiring doctors are advised to submit their applications well before the November 6 deadline rather than waiting for the final day.
