NAVTTC Opens Paid Internships for Fresh Graduates With Rs. 60,000 Monthly Stipend

Fresh graduates looking for a first step into public-sector work have a new opening to consider, after the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission announced fifteen paid internship places carrying a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000. The programme is aimed at young degree holders who want practical experience rather than another classroom course, and it places them inside a federal organisation at the centre of Pakistan’s technical and vocational training system. The payment is generous by graduate internship standards. With only fifteen places on offer, the contest is likely to be sharp, and candidates will need a complete, carefully checked application to be shortlisted.

The internship will run for up to six months, giving participants hands-on experience in federal public-sector governance, technical education and research. That breadth reflects NAVTTC’s own work, which goes well beyond running training courses. Established in 2005 as the apex body for technical and vocational education and training in Pakistan, and now working under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, it sets policy direction for the sector, develops qualifications and national occupational standards, and maintains the National Vocational Qualifications Framework, which provides a common structure for comparing skill qualifications across the country. It also works with provincial training authorities and industry bodies, and coordinates large national efforts such as the Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development Programme.

Monthly Stipend and Internship Duration

Selected interns will receive a lump sum of Rs. 60,000 each month, linked to their monthly performance reports. The payment is therefore tied to progress rather than arriving regardless of contribution, which should suit graduates ready to work seriously from the first week. For a young person living in Islamabad, or relocating there for the programme, the stipend offers a realistic basis on which to take up a six-month opportunity without relying entirely on family support. Six months is also long enough to settle in and take on meaningful tasks rather than simply observing for a few weeks.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must have completed at least sixteen years of education in a relevant discipline. The fields named include Economics, Finance, Law, Social Sciences, Engineering, Technology and Information Technology, along with related subjects. The official employment portal also sets an age limit of twenty to thirty years, and it does not require previous professional experience, confirming that the programme is genuinely intended for fresh graduates. Candidates must nevertheless show strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and NAVTTC says it will prefer applicants who can also use Adobe InDesign, SPSS, Tableau or Python. Applicants must also have excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Urdu, and the commission has encouraged candidates of all genders to apply.

Selection Process

NAVTTC will review all applications and shortlist only those who meet the announced eligibility requirements, and only eligible and shortlisted candidates will receive interview invitations. That makes the quality of the initial application decisive, because applicants should not expect an interview call simply for submitting a form. Candidates must provide complete and accurate information, and they should check every entry before submitting, since the commission has said it will reject incomplete applications. A missing document or an incorrect qualification detail could therefore end an otherwise strong application at the first stage. The commission has also reserved the right to accept, reject or cancel applications at any stage without providing a reason, and it may change the number of places. Candidates will not receive travelling or daily allowances for interviews.

How to Apply for NAVTTC Internship 2026

Interested graduates must apply online through the official government employment portal at jobs.gov.pk. Applicants should visit the website and register as jobseekers if they do not already have an account, then search for the internship opportunity advertised by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission. Once they find the listing, they should read the eligibility criteria in full and complete the online application with their personal, educational and other required information, checking their details carefully before submitting, because NAVTTC will consider only applications submitted through the prescribed online system. The portal has set November 14, 2026, as the application deadline, so graduates should not leave their applications until the final day. Applicants would be wise to register early and prepare a clear account of their skills.

What Happens Next

After the deadline, shortlisting will be followed by interviews for the strongest candidates. Those selected will begin a placement that could shape their early careers, giving them inside knowledge of Pakistan’s skills system at a time when employers at home and abroad place a growing premium on certified, job-ready skills. For graduates more broadly, the announcement is a reminder that technical and vocational training is central to how the country prepares its young workforce. Eligible graduates who meet the age, education and skills criteria should apply through jobs.gov.pk well before November 14, and treat the application itself as the first test of the professionalism the programme demands.
